Terms & Conditions
Please read the following terms and conditions carefully before confirming your booking. By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to these terms.
Booking & Payment
A £100 booking fee is required to secure your wedding date. This is deducted from your final balance.
Deposits must be paid within 10 days of the invoice date (or by the specified payment date) to confirm your booking.
A minimum service spend of £400 is required for peak season Saturdays (April to October).
Final balance is due 4 weeks prior to your wedding day and can be paid by bank transfer.
Trials must be paid for on the day (bank transfer or cash).
All prices are subject to change.
Clients who have paid a booking fee prior to any changes will not be affected by updated pricing.
Trial Information
Trials are recommended 4–6 months before your wedding.
Trials take place at my home studio – 11a Fen Street, Stilton, Pe7 3rj.
Available Monday to Friday (daytime only).
Please allow up to 2.5 hours for hair or makeup trials, or 4 hours for both.
If you’d like to try additional styles or looks, a second trial will be required and charged at the standard rate.
No blow-dry service is provided. Please arrive with clean, dry hair, as wet hair will affect your appointment time.
If you decide not to proceed after your trial, you must inform Makeup by Sam within 7 days. If no notice is given, the full wedding balance remains payable.
Travel & Additional Fee
Travel on the wedding day includes up to 35 miles round trip from PE7 3RJ. Additional mileage is charged at 50p per mile.
Travel fees are calculated based on your wedding day address, which must be provided in your booking form.
Parking charges (e.g., hotel parking) are additional and must be covered by the client.
If your wedding requires your stylist/artist to leave before 6:00am, overnight accommodation near the venue will be required and quoted based on the lowest local rate.
A second stylist/assistant may be required for larger bookings, charged at £100.
If I’m unable to complete the booking alone due to time restrictions, an assistant can be added for £100.
Makeup, Hair & Products
Individual lash clusters are included in all makeup services. Strip lashes can be applied for no extra fee (client may bring their own or purchase separately).
Declining lashes does not reduce the service fee.
You can view a selection of beautiful bridal hairpieces during your trial.
Hair extensions (16”–18” double wefts) are recommended for hair-down styles. You can try and colour-match them at your trial, with the option to hire or purchase.
Known allergies or sensitivities must be disclosed at the time of booking. If any of my products are unsuitable, you may need to supply your own alternatives.
Changes to Bookings
Guest numbers and location must be finalised at the time of your trial.
If a member of your bridal party cancels after confirmation, the overall pricing will not be adjusted due to loss of earnings. Your invoice total remains the same.
Additional guests may be added, subject to availability.
Any change of location on the wedding day may incur additional mileage charges.
Cancellations
For personal cancellations:
Deposit payments are non-refundable.
In exceptional cases, credit may be offered at the discretion of Makeup by Sam.
Cancellation fees:
More than 14 days’ notice – Loss of £200 deposit
7–14 days’ notice – 50% of total invoice
Less than 7 days’ notice – 100% of total invoice
Cancellations must be received in writing.
The timeline refers to midnight (12:00am) on the date of your booking.
Example:
For a Saturday wedding, cancellation must be received by 11:59pm on the Friday 8 days prior to avoid a 100% charge, or by 15 days prior to incur deposit loss only.
In the Unlikely Event of Artist Illness
If I am unable to attend your wedding due to unforeseen circumstances, I will do my best to arrange a trusted replacement artist or stylist.
If this is not possible, your payment will be refunded in full.
Other Notes
We do not offer refunds for completed work. If you are unhappy, you must inform us at the time of service so we can try to resolve the issue.
Please provide inspiration images from my own portfolio or similar styles to help manage expectations.
