Terms & Conditions
Please read and understand the terms and conditions before paying deposit.
Deposits must be paid within ten days of dated invoice to secure your booking or by the payment date specified
Minimum number of guests and location must be finalised at the time of booking.
A minimum service charge of £400 is required during peak season (Saturdays during April to October months)
If for any reason a member of the bridal party or guest pulls out, the pricing will not be altered due to loss of earnings. Your balance owing will remain the same as per invoice. Extra guests may be added subject to availability
Any known allergies must be declared at the time of booking. This ensures ingredients can be checked against the artists products. If the artist/stylists products are not suitable for the client, then the client will have to provide some of their own products.
Assistant- if a booking is not possible for me to complete on my own due to time constraints, an assistant can be booked for an additional £50.
Individual lash clusters are included in price of makeup service. Strip lashes are an additional fee or client to buy their own and can be applied for no extra fee. If individual lashes are not required, there is no reduction in any makeup service if declined.
Hair accessories can be viewed and tried during your trial, if you then would like to go ahead and purchase the accessories this will be billed separately to hair and makeup and payment would be due in full for me to make the order for you. Hair accessories I supply are exclusive to Victoria Louise Accessories and a small range is viewable on my website.
Clip in hair extensions can be viewed and tried during your trial. You can then go ahead and either purchase them or I also provide a rental option. Rental is £40 for a full set and a refundable deposit of £80 is required with your balance payment. This deposit is refunded after your wedding once the extensions have been returned.
Trials are recommended approximately 2-3 months prior to your wedding. Trials can take place at my studio in Ramsey, Cambridgeshire. I am also mobile but there is a 45p per mile from PE28 5TX, both ways.
Trials can be booked from Monday to Friday day time. Please note trials cannot take place on a weekend due to wedding commitments.
You may book a trial before paying a deposit, however this will not secure your wedding date. Should a client wish to pay a deposit for the same date, that payment will be accepted and we will advise you that date is longer available.
Please allow 1.5 hours for your trial per hair or/and makeup service.
Please note the styling doesn’t include a blow drying service. You must arrive with clean dry hair otherwise this runs into additional time.
Please note I don’t provide a blow drying service. I only style hair.
If you do not wish to proceed with the booking after the trial then you agree to notify Makeup by Sam within 7 days of having the initial trial, failure to do so will mean the full wedding balance is still payable
PRICING AND TRAVEL FEES
All prices are subject to change without any notice. All invoices issued to clients who have already paid a deposit before a price increase occurs will not be affected.
Travel fees are calculated by distance and you will receive a quote once location is known. An accurate address must be provided when filling out your application form.
Parking fees will apply for hotels. This fee is additional to travel cost.
The full remaining balance can be paid 4 weeks prior via bank transfer.
We do not offer a refund on completed work. If you are unhappy in any way, notify us at the time of your styling.
When sending through images of styles you like, please consider using photos of stylists own work or similar.
These terms and conditions may be changed and/or updated at any time at the discretion of Makeup by Sam/ Sam Kay
NB: In cases of COVID- if your wedding cannot go ahead due to lockdown or COVID restrictions I can transfer your deposit to your new proposed date. If I am unavailable on your new proposed date, I will refund your deposit less a £25 admin fee.
Deposit payments are strictly non-refundable when cancelling for personal reasons.
Credit may be offered in exceptional circumstances.
The following cancellation fees apply if notification of booking cancellation is received:
- More than 14 days prior to booking date = Loss of £200 deposit
- 7 to 14 days prior to booking date = 50% of invoiced amount
- Less than 7 days to booking date = 100% of invoiced amount
Notification of cancellation in writing is required.
The above timeframes refer to a booking date beginning at Midnight (12:00am)
on the booking date;
eg. A Saturday booking cancellation would require notification in writing by 11:59pm on the Friday 8 days prior to incur a 50% fee rather than 100%,
11:59pm on the Friday 15 days prior to incur loss of £200 deposit only
If your hairstylist/makeup artist is unable to attend the wedding due to unforeseen circumstances then a replacement Makeup Artist/Hairstylist will be provided. Failing this the wedding cost will be refunded.
